Potluck Luncheon

I had a really great time at the Potluck today! I think at first we may have thought taking on a performance would be a really big pain - but look how well everything turned out! I have to give big HUGE props to Leisbet for really getting the spark going under everyone.

I thought the performance was so fun! The MCs did a great job and Rob and Mike's videos "Chasteneufing" were just hilarious. Colin was still talking about how fun it was during the clean-up. The recorders and the drum pieces were a really nice addition. I think for non-musicians, some people were really able to lend the talent!

My friends Keith, Christen, and Marissa and I sang "Holly Jolly Christmas". I found myself throwing in some little actions I didn't even plan! I sort of spear-headed the idea to make it a "Flair" party - although we all had talked about that for a few days before. I think showing off a bit of dazzle (and some of us lots of dazzle!) really showed the other cohorts we cared about what we were doing there. So I rallied the other groups to dazzle us too - I was glad to see some others show up in their flair. I also put out the word to SY07 about joining in. Unfortunately they did not respond.

After the lunch, several of us, Shayla, Elena, Leisbet, Trevor, Dawn and few others in the other classes, stayed to help put away chairs and tables, food, and clean up. There was some really good feedback from Ricci, Shauna, Colin, Andrew & Willow about our performance. Good job everyone!

Since this is probably my last post (besides the pictures) I want to wish everyone a Happy Holiday season, and a well-deserved break to charge your batteries!!

Muuuaah! See you in 2009!!!
