Art Show

My class worked collaboratively to create a group project to display at the art show.

We did a lesson all about Line called "What's My Line" The project at left was the final part of the 1.5 hour lesson. It also happened to be a formally observed lesson by my supervisor Owen.

All of us in the room had a FANTASTIC time. I can't wait to see what this project looks like displayed in the art show.

The students thought it was a good idea that everyone could be represented in our piece of art work. We decided to draw 5 names to decide would would attend on Tuesday night. :) I can't wait!

I love this idea, it would be great to have all the students involved in a class project. Did the students take turns or was there a space big enough for them to work together.

They all worked together! 16 children all on one tarp (2 were away) It is an exciting thing when you put out unconventional supplies and eyes light up...

Holly,

I liked your class' contribution to the art show - it challenged my notion of, "what is art?" I thought you might like to hear a comment from a couple of my grade seven students (when they weren't checking the elevator's working condition;) concerning the art. Two students said they really liked the tarp - it was their favorite - because they liked its randomness.
