Music and Dance

On Sunday night my sister and I went to the Backstreet Boys concert. It was an awesome show! The Backstreet Boys have been a band for 15 years, and the height of their popularity was definitely about 10 years ago, when I was a teenager.

I was happily surprised that most of the songs they played were the big hits from that time. As a result, I sang the whole time. It's funny how lyrics endure and stick with you for years and years. A few times I felt completely transported back in time to my high school gym - thinking about who I danced with to those songs, what were the big deal things happening in my life at the time. Music is so important for that reason - it can take people back in time and space.

This "boy band" also had some sweet moves. I took really good video of some of the dancing to show everyone, but I'm having trouble uploading it onto Blogger. Does anyone have a suggestion? I will keep trying because it's fun to watch. The choreography for the tour is amazing - very similar to the old videos - and still made me scream like a crazed fan!
